For those who might not know, this project was a playful tribute to the iconic Spike Lee x Michael Jordan commercial. I love sessions like this. I love having a hand in the recreation of a thing or creating something I’ve never seen before. This session was a mix of both. As J.Cole once said “I anit never did this before” and this photoshoot was a fun undertaking and trusting my God given abilities to execute it. Collaborating with my client to create a modern pseudo-ad inspired by the past was an absolute blast. I was so hyped about this shoot, I even dusted off my digital pen for the editing process! Creating a concept from my imagination from their ideas into a reality is truly fulfilling. As J.Cole once said “I anit never did this before” but this session was personally inspiring taking someone else's vision and trusting my own creative instincts to bring it to life, even though it was completely new territory. But hey, confidence in oneself is key! Personally I believe black history is really just American History. Ill save you from my rant 😅
